SAP Business One Community

Community Update – December 2025

The SAP Business One Community has launched successfully and is looking forward to an active and event packed year for 2026. To increase awareness, supply access to resources and provide safe spaces to collaborate, we need our members to actively participate. Join a committee today and help your community grow.

B1 Community Successful Launch

In October 2025 the B1 Community, Inc. was officially formed as an independent, non-profit organization for the benefit of SAP Business One customers, partners, developers and independent consultants.  We nurture the SAP Business One community with timely information and education and facilitate collaboration across its constituencies.  The SAP Business One Community increases product awareness, delivers access to resources and provides a safe space for collaboration.

In our first three months we launched our website, registered over 100 users, held our first partner roundtable and recently concluded our first virtual conference.  The demand and support have been overwhelming and gratifying to those of us who have been passionate about SAP Business One and helped create the community.

Fulfilling the Vision and Mission

During 2025 we interviewed, surveyed and met with SAP Partners, SAP Solution Providers Customers, Independent Consultants and leaders of ERP Communities to develop our vision for the B1 Community.  Understanding the “Why” as defined by our membership is critical to our success.   Our Community purpose evolved over the year prior to our formation and resulted into the three core objectives:

  • Increases product awareness,
  • Deliver access to resources, and
  • Provide a safe space for collaboration

Increase Product Awareness

Business One has often been called SAP’s biggest secret.  With over 83,000 customers and growing, you would think SAP Business One would be a household name, but it is not!  Historically SAP did not market Business One as a product, but recently released campaigns for partners to spread the word.

As a community we can help SAP and its partners increase the product awareness to ensure the long-term success of Business One.  On our community and LinkedIn sites we promote SAP, partner and SSP content.  If you have a success story, lesson leaned or other information of benefit to members, please contact us and submit a blog!

Deliver Access to Resources

Provide a Safe Space for Collaboration

Our first active quarter of operations included:

  • Launching the website and the resources page and public community platform.
  • A Partner only Cloud Roundtable, and
  • The Power of One virtual conference. conference.

Both events exceeded expectations.  Accordingly, we are planning to increase the frequency of events and make adjustments as informed by the advisory board and community members.

In order to be compliant with SAP confidentiality rules, we have updated our registration page to capture member constituency.   This new required field includes 6 classifications:

  1. Customer – An employee of a company or other organization which use SAP Business One to run their business.
  2. SAP Sell Partner – An individual who works for an entity currently authorized to represent SAP as a reselling partner.

  6. Consultant to Profession – Although not officially certified by SAP, you provide application consulting, marketing, or other services to SAP customers or partners.

If you have already registered please update your profile so we can add you to private spaces which will include content from our events.

In 2025 we launched our community site.  Our 5 initial groups include:

  • SAP B1 Community – General information about SAP Business One.
  • B1 Functional Tips and Tricks for how to perform functions, configure modules and correct errors.

Registering for the community will also open up our first private group for the Power of One.  This new group provides access to content from our public events.   Additional groups are being created to provide safe spaces for each our our member constituencies.

Get Involved in YOUR SAP B1 Community!

With pent up demand from SAP customers and consultants alike, we anticipate tremendous growth in 2026.   To meet the needs of our community we will need help from you!   Specifically, we need people to volunteer for three committees:

  1. Membership – The Membership committee focuses on activities that attract new members, retain existing ones, and ensure that members find value in their community  affiliation.
  2. Education – This committee plays a crucial role in overseeing and facilitating educational initiatives for the B1 Community, roundtable and  conferences.
  3. Events – The events committee coordinates activities surrounding conferences.  Whether virtual or physical, conferences require a significant amount of coordination with speakers, sponsors, the education committee and physical or virtual conference facilities.
