SAP Partner Summit for the Americas

SAP Business One was well represented at the SAP Partner Summits bring together practice leaders, sales executives, product experts, and marketing leaders to provide a thoughtful environment to elevate business together.

SAP's First Tier-1 Partner Event for North and Latin America

The SAP Partner Summit for Americas was held in Las Vegas March 16-18, 2026.   This partner event for practitioners and business leaders across both North America and Latin America highlighted SAP’s unparalleled applications, data, and AI.   The event showcased how SAP and its partners unlock value by connecting processes and data with artificial intelligence and people.

SAP Business One on the Big Stage

In the conference keynote, SAP Chief Partner Officer Karl Fahrbach focused on SAPs growth strategy.  SAP is infusing AI across every process and pathways to scale in Cloud.  This included SAP Business One as the engine of net new customers.  SAP B1 now has over 83,000 customers and is adding over 10 new customers per day!

Partners are central to SAP’s growth strategy in “commercial” markets below $250 million in revenue.  Much of SAP’s channel strategy comes from its almost 30 years experience with SAP Business One!

Mr. Fahrbach declared 2026 as “the year of the Web Client”.   This reiterated SAP’s continued and increased investments in SAP Business One.

We heard how SAP has hired over 300 new developers to increase the development rate for the Web Client.  Additional resources are focused on Version 11, scheduled for release in 2027.   Greater details can be found in the SAP Business One Roadmap released this month.

Key Messages Received

During the 15 specific SAP Business One sessions, the messages from SAP were consistent:

  • This is the year of the web client.
  • SAP is making considerable and ongoing investment in SAP Business One.
  • Specific marketing messages will increase awareness of SAP Business One in the marketplace.
  • Increasing net new names is the strategic initiative for SAP Business One and its partners.

SAP Business One Web Client

The conference included multiple sessions on the web client.

  • Web Client Roadmap and Recent Highlights
  • Web Client Extensibility Roadmap and Recent Highlights
  • Web Client Analytics
  • Web Client User-Defined Values (UDV)
  • SAP Business One Web Client Microsoft 365
  • Web Client Extensibility Feedback Session
  • Learn How to Become a Web Client Expert.

Many features of the rich client have been re-imagined and simplified for the web client.  For example:

  • Customizable process maps are easy to develop and deploy in the FP 2602 web client.  SAP has already delivered two out of the box process maps and creating new ones is extremely intuitive.
  • Features which formerly required multiple tabs or screens are now redesigned to simplify and expedite data entry.

Starting in version 11, you can expect innovation exclusive to the web client.

The web browser experience simplifies the user experience and reduces the effort and cost of deployment.  No clients to install and no more issues with version compatibility with other desktop applications and tools.

  • Tight integration with Microsoft 365.   Simplified e-mailing and ability to bind with individual or service accounts.
  • Works with web versions of Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Single sign on features.

Although SAP will still support the Mobile application for Android and iOS, the web client is quickly becoming the platform of choice for mobile users.  This is especially true of tablet based users in distribution, manufacturing, sales and service functions.

SAP Business One Cloud

SAP Business One Cloud will continue to be delivered by business partners and Cloud Service Providers (CSP).  Version 11 will include many structural enhancements that will make deployment more modular and simpler.  SAP is always extremely security conscious.  Modular enhancements further segment Tomcat components which require public exposure for delivery of the web client.  Additional redesign elements will simplify and support multi-tenant cloud deployment similar to “true cloud” competitors.

The current version 10 FP 2602 includes “web-hooks” in the browser client.  This new extensibility function powers triggered actions for integrations and other product extensions in the web client.  This and other extensibility features is powering the re-imagining third party products for the cloud.   Many of the exhibitors at the conference were future focused for a world with SAP B1 Cloud accessed via the web client.

The Little Engine that Can!

It is clear that SAP Business One is the Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software for the Small and Medium sized Enterprise (SME).   SAP continues to fight the myth that its products are only for the large enterprise.  However, it was refreshing to see SAP marketing developing positive and industry specific messaging that specifically puts the words SAP and Business One together!

SAP has focused its global marketing team on SAP Business One.

  • New logo to match with the new modern user interface.
  • Messages which highlight what SAP Business One is as opposed to what it is not.
  • Upcoming industry specific videos to go along with the hundreds of success story videos, case studies and other proof points.
  • Competitive intelligence to fight the fear, uncertainty and doubt others put into the market.
  • New “flip books” highlighting the artificial intelligence innovations already in the market for SAP Business One.

You can expect to see more partner and SAP led events highlighting what SAP Business One can do!
